Seven Die As Fire Gut Filling Station In Jigawa (Photos)

No fewer than seven person have reportedly died in a fire outbreak that occurred at a filling station, (Al-masfa Global Enterprise Nigeria Ltd) on Monday, April 4, at about 6pm in Kaugama Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The victims identified as Nasiru Umar Garki, Abdulkadir Nura, Dahawi Garin Babale, Hamza Adamu, Sulaiman Garin Babale, Idris Adamu Jamaga and Salisu Garin Babale lost their lives.

The fire was said to have gutted the administration and accommodation building of the filling station when victims were asleep, an eyewitness said.

Consequently, the seven victims lost their lives.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who confirmed the incident, said six persons lost their lives on the spot while another victim died while receiving treatment.

The cause of the fire is not known and an investigation is ongoing, he added.
