Cloudflare Takes Down Nairaland over Abuse report

Popular American host company, Cloudflare has taken down Nigeria’s no 1 news forum, Nairaland over an abuse report.

The forum platform was taken down on Monday, 18th, December, 2023 making it three days of it’s take down.

According to the forum’s founder, Seun Osewa, he said the take down was due to an abuse report that he overlooked. Seun admitted that his oversight caused the take down of Nairaland.

Sharing more light on the issue via his X (Formally Twitter) account, Seun said that the technical support team for Cloudflare told him that only the abuse team can reinstate the forum which will take approximately 48 hours.

Seun went on to apologized to users and advertisers alike, assuring them that the issue is being resolved but will take some time.

Meanwhile, the take down has left questions in the mouth of users, Will Nairaland return?
