A Twitter user, @AkiMarlin, has brought attention to a peculiar incident where a Nigerian woman allegedly orchestrated a fake wedding, deceiving her friends who purchased Asoebi and hand fans for the occasion.
The woman reportedly managed to collect significant amounts of money from about 60 friends under the guise of a wedding ceremony.
According to the tweet, the woman sold Asoebi for 50,000 Naira and hand fans for 10,000 Naira to her friends, providing them with a designated location for the bridal shower.
However, when some friends arrived at the hotel for the supposed event, the woman was conspicuously absent.
As the story unraveled, it became apparent that the entire wedding was a hoax, and the woman had reportedly flown to Canada the next day.
The shocking revelation left her friends in disbelief, especially considering her popularity as a vendor around IMSU.
