Native Doctor Flees After Using Machete To Inflict Wounds On 2 Children

A native doctor identified as Emea Ibe is currently on the run after inflicting two children with machete wounds in Abia State.

It was gathered that the suspect of Ania, Akanu, Ohafia Local Government accused two children, one Friday Ota Awa, aged 10 and his step-sister, Kosisochukwu of being responsible for killing his sheep.

The suspect alleged that Friday, beat his sheep to death. Consequently, the suspect dragged Friday to his shrine where he reportedly used machete to beat him in bid for him to say the truth.

But, when the step-sister, Kosisochukwu pleaded with the suspect to let her brother go, he also grabbed her and beat her with the machete, saying that nothing would happen if he decides to kill them.

The traditional ruler of Akanu, Ezieogo Mba Okereke, who condemned the act said he had instructed other native doctors in the community to fish out the suspect for prosecution.

The monarch also condemned the act, vowing to protect the rights of abused children.
