A yet-to-be identified butcher has been arrested for stabbing his wife to death in Warri, Delta State.
According to the incident that happened on Thursday, April 13, 2023, the suspect came back from Igbudu market where he butchers and sells meat to boil some water to take his bath after the days job.
It was gathered that the wife refused him from boiling the water on grounds that he does not provide enough for the family.
However, the suspect ignored his wife’s warning and went ahead to boil the water. This later resulted to a fight between the couple.
The suspect was said to have allegedly used a knife to stab her multiple times until she eventually collapse.
Quickly, the suspect rushed his wife to a private hospital where she unfortunately died.
Consequently, the daughter of the suspect who witnessed the incident immediately visited the police station and reported what her father has done and swiftly the suspect was arrested.
