Many Feared Dead As Car Rams Into Crowd At Calabar Bikers Parade

A car rammed into crowd at the Calabar bikers parade resulting to multiple casualties. HGS Media Plus reports.

The incident happened on Tuesday, December 27 at the Bogobiri axis of the carnival route.

The flag-off of the bikers and exotic cars parade is usually held as part of the event leading to a Wednesday carnival in Calabar.

It was gathered that the driver of the vehicle was parading in the event when he suddenly lost control and rammed into crowd.

An eyewitness from the scene claimed more that 10 persons have died

Graphic videos obtained by HGS show bodies from the incident scene lying on the road with blood flowing.

However, the number of casualties is currently unknown but many are feared dead.

An unconfirmed number of persons also reportededly sustained various degrees of injuries.

The affected persons were rushed to Navy Reference hospital, Calabar.

Law enforcement agencies had to use tear gas to disperse the angry crowd.
