Pastor Arrested For Defiling 12-Year-Old Girl In Anambra

A pastor has been arrested by the Anambra State police for allegedly defiling a twelve (12) year-old girl Awka, the State’s capital.

The victim identified Uju Okafor from Ufuma in Orumba North Local government area of Anambra state is said to have been living with the suspect since April 2.

It was gathered that the victim was sent by her mother to a woman who sent her to the suspect’s house to help him clean his house since his family was not around.

It was alleged that after the victim had finished her chores and was inside her room, the suspect came him and started harassing her sexually. The suspect was alleged to have forced his way with her.

It was also alleged that the suspect repeated the same thing the next day and this time asked the victim to suck his manhood but when she refused, she was beaten.

The victim on was said to have jumped down from two-storey building and broke her leg in the process after she could not bear the pains of the assault.

The victim who is currently receiving medical attention at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching hospital in Awka.

Mother of the victim, Chinwe Okafor confirmed her daughter’s account of what transpired and has asked for justice.

The state police public relation’s officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, who confirmed the report, said the suspect is in their custody and the investigation is ongoing.
