Man Sentenced To Death For Raping And Killing His Landlady

One Tunmise Abraham has been sentenced to death for sexually assaulting and killing his landlady, one Bukola Olanrewaju in Adebayo area of Ado-Ekiti.

The suspect was sentenced to death by hanging by the Ado-Ekiti High Court on Wednesday, March 23.

The incident accounted by an eyewitness called by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mr Julius Ajibare revealed that the deceased who was killed in 2019 was a mother of three and was home alone when the incident happened.

The suspect was said to have broke into the house of the deceased and threaten her with a cutlass before he raped her.

Justice Monisola Abodunde found the suspect guilty of raping and killing his landlady. The suspect was consequently sentenced to death by hanging.
