    Blind Man Burnt To Death By His Younger Brother Over Piece Of Land In Anambra

    A visually impaired man has allegedly been burnt to death by his younger brother over a piece of land in Anambra State.

    The suspect identified as Mr. Onyedika Nnofu burnt his elder brother, one Mr. Mmaduabuchi Nnofu a coordinator of Joint National Association Of Persons With Disability, JONAPWD on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Eziagulu village, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area of the state.

    The deceased was said to be the first male child of his family and the suspect being the last male child of four boys in the family.

    It was gathered that the suspect has been in conflict with the deceased for a long period of time over the said piece of land and has reportedly threatened to kill him except he stay clear from the land.

    Subsequently, at 12pm on Sunday afternoon, the suspect allegedly murdered and burnt his brother beyond recognition. It was said that angry youths attempted to lynch the suspect to death but was rescued by police who timely intervened.

    Confirming the incident, Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie, special adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Disability Matters, said the victim was a vibrant leader in disability community, and a blind person who can never hurt a soul.
