Troops Gun Down Three Kidnappers In Plateau, Recover Arms And Ammunition
Three notorious kidnappers has been killed by Troops of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State.
HGS Media Plus reports that the suspects were neutralized in Gyero area of the state following an intelligent report. The suspects were tracked down by the troops in their hiding place and on sighting them, the kidnappers over fire on the troops.
Consequently, three members of the gang were killed due to the fire superiority of the troops.
The suspects are believed to have participated in a prison jail break that happened in Jos on 28 November 2021.
Confirming the attack, the Military Information Officer, Major Ishaku Takwa, said that the suspects have been on the radar of Operation SAFE HAVEN and believed that they masterminded the recent kidnap incidences in the State.
one AK-47 Rifle, 2 AK-47 rifle magazines, 101 live rounds of 7. 62mm ammunition and one tricycle (Keke Napep), 2 phones, 2 sharp knives and 2 military head warmers were recovered.
