A mother of three has been rescued by Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command from being lynched by residents of Ayepe area of Osogbo for stealing a goat. HGS Media Plus learnt.
The suspect identified as Adewole Suliyat, age 30 who is a trader and hails from Konda area, Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government of Osun State was said to have been caught on Tuesday, 9th November by a neighbor while trying to escape with the goat.
The suspect was said to have used dried peel of cassava in a plastic basket to attract the goat and while feeding on it she catches and ties the goat making passer-by to think she bought it.
While trying to escape, she was intercepted and she confessed to stealing the goat. Out of anger, resident descended on her, but it took the intervention of the NSCDC personnel before she was rescued.
