The incident happened on Saturday, November 6 in Obada-Oko area of Abeokuta were the suspects was said to have hidden in a nearby bush to commit their grievous. crime.
A victim identified as Razaq Lasisi, a former secondary school principal who escaped being abducted after he was shot twice by the gunmen narrated his ordeal to Splash Fm.
According to him, he was on his way home from work at around 9pm when the gunmen attempted to abduct him, but managed to escape.
Three persons were said to have been kidnapped by the gunmen after Police from the Obada-Oko division engaged the suspects in a gun duel.
He said that he was shot twice and was held by one of the gunmen, but he managed to break free after giving him a blow to the face.

He further said that the gunmen have called the community and demanded for the sum N10 million, codeine, marijuana, water, and food. However, the community pleaded and it was reduced to N1.5 million with codeine, marijuana, water and food.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said one suspect had been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, adding that investigation is ongoing to apprehend others.
