At least seven persons were reportedly shot dead by suspected Fulani herdsmen while seven others injured in an attack in Adamawa State, HGS Media Plus learnt.
The attack was said to have been carried out by suspected herdsmen at midnight, 11pm on Tuesday, November 2 on Negga village in Bolki Ward, Numan Local Government Area of the State.
It was gathered that the attack lasted for more than an hour which left many persons injured.
According to report, the armed men attacked the village while the community were asleep. Consequently, seven persons were killed, while another seven were injured.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, who confirmed the incident said seven others who sustained injuries in the attack were responding to treatment at Numan General Hospital.
He stated that policemen had been deployed in the community to restore normalcy while the criminal investigation department (CID) has swung into action to fish out the assailants.
