The suspect was apprehended on Monday night, October 18 by the Rivers State Neighbourhood Safety Corps Agency in collaboration with the Duburo Community youths.
According to report, the suspect stabbed his cousin identified as Kopapa Neete who is said to be in his early 40s over a roofing sheets the suspects allegedly stole. The deceased had bought some roofing sheets to fix his house, but couldn’t find the complete sheets when he got back home.
Apparently, the suspect had removed some of the sheets after the deceased left the house. Report says when Neete arrived home, he noticed that some sheets were missing, in anger, the deceased accused the suspect who in turn took a knife and stabbed him, killing him instantly.
The suspect was said to have fled the community after committing the crime but was later arrested alongside his gang by the Rivers State Neighbourhood Safety Corps Agency.
